Supported and loved by acclaimed art critics and film & video enthusiasts, TIFF has in recent years quickly risen to be one of the top international film festivals in the industry. TIFF hosts live film screenings, music/screenwriting competitions, and live awards shows. The sole purpose of TIFF is to celebrate the joy of creation, while also building a strong sense of community around the art of visual storytelling. TIFF honors films from around the world with a vast array of awards in different categories and genres. Its mission is to discover diverse new voices and to promote artists’ work through numerous platforms. Independent film and video production have always been here and always will be. New York welcomes this incredible audio&visual experience hosted by TIFF with great pleasure.

Members of the jury are selected from award-winning filmmakers, videos artists, producers, film & photography professionals, critics, and artists from all over the world. Submissions are evaluated according to a variety of factors of quality and merit, including story-telling ability, technical capability, conceptual depth, visual effects, and more. Each jury member will review all submissions individually first. The jury group will later come together to discuss and come to their final decisions. The festival is a creative event that stands with all the artists involved in the making of work.
