Exhibition Dates:

October 13 - October 15, 2019. 


 

Opening Reception:

October 13, 2019 at 1PM


 

Eligibility:

-Any 2D artwork that fits within the context of the exhibition, such as paintings, illustrations, graphic design and photographs. Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces. 

 

-NO 3D artwork will be accepted. NO sculptures, installations, books, magazines, videos, performance art, or textiles.  

 

-NO group work will be accepted.

 

-Please be certain a physical copy of your work will be available for exhibition, each piece should be no bigger than 20x24 inches including frame. 

 

-For digitally created art, only high-quality prints will be displayed at the gallery.

Online Gallery:

ALL submissions will be permanently displayed at ISPVA's online gallery. 

 

Awards:

First Place - 1 artist

Second Place - 2 artists

Third Place - 7 artists

 

All artists selected for awards will receive a certificate from ISPVA.


 

Interviews: 

There will be interview opportunities for all selected artists with media from Europe, US and China.

Specs for Upload:

 

-Vertical images should be 72~150 dpi, jpeg/png, and can be up to 1000 px on the longest side. Horizontal images should be 72~150 dpi, jpeg/png, and can be up to 1400 px on the longest side.

 

-Please format your images as lastname_firstname_title (example: Sirkis_Nicola_Traffic Girl)


 

Entry Fees (Non-refundable):

1 piece - $30

2 pieces - $50

3 pieces - $70

 

Exhibition Fees (Once selected):

1 piece - $120

2 pieces - $180

3 pieces - $250

 

Selection of Work

The jury will select artwork that will be on display at Vanities Gallery in Paris. These artwork may also be on display in ISPVA's online gallery. 

 

Notification to Artist

Artists will be notified by Oct 4, 2019. All artists who have submitted artwork will be notified by email. If you do not receive notice by Oct 4, 2019, please check your email spam folder and contact ISPVA.

Once selected, you're agreeing to the following conditions:

-Your work will be used to promote the exhibition on our social media, website, Wechat articles, and other marketing platforms. 

 

-Your work will be printed on the exhibition catalogue and distributed to the public. You will receive a free copy of the catalogue. 

 

Artwork Presentation:

-Artwork must arrive 'gallery ready' and 'ready to hang' and be presented professionally. Unframed artwork will NOT be displayed. 

 

-We will NOT install your frame wires for you, please do it yourself before shipping. 

 

-Preferably, framed artwork should be in black wood or natural wood frame. 

 

-No glass - plexi only.

Shipping and Return:

-All shipped artwork must be received no later than October 12, 2019 by 12 at noon (Paris local time)

 

-We prefer to receive artwork no earlier than October 9th, 2019. 

 

-If you live in Paris, in-person drop-off time is between October 9 and October 12. 

 

-Artwork must be sent in reusable packaging with NO styrofoam packing peanuts. 

 

-ISPVA and Vanities Gallery are NOT responsible for damage caused in transit. 

 

-Artists are responsible for the cost of shipping and arranging prepaid shipping labels with DHL/UPS/USPS/FedEx, and the cost of customs if any. It is mandatory to include prepaid shipping and return labels with your artwork. 

 

-Artwork will be shipped out of Vanities Gallery on October 15, 2019. Artwork without return label or not picked up after the exhibition will be discarded by the gallery.

Sales of Art:

-90% of the sale will go to the artists and 10% of the sale will go to ISPVA. Items sold must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show. 

 

-ISPVA will mail a check or make a bank/paypal/venmo transfer to the artist for any sold artwork within 30 days after the close of the exhibition.
